Putting Me First !

How often do we put ourselves last and tend to everyone else first, thinking that this is the honorable or expected way to do things? It is self-care Not selfishness to put yourself first.

Remember on a plane they tell you if the oxygen mask drops, put it on yourself first and then help others. When we are feeling positive, healthy and balanced we are in a much better position to help / serve others.

This took me a long time to learn and with some costly health issues as a result. This does not mean that I do not love my family and friends, it means I love them more by taking care of me.

How often do you say to yourself:

* I will get to it later * There is too much to do now * I don't have time * The other things are more important - I can wait * They need me and I can get to that later

This applies to our mental, physical, emotional and spiritual well-being.

Are you feeling:

~ Tired ~ Stressed ~ Lonely ~ Anxious ~ Depressed ~ Over weight ~ Confused ~ Scared ~ Overwhelmed

The first step is to acknowledge that you are in a space that is not beneficial to you and then next step is to know that you can reach out for support to work through the issues and get back to a life which feels good and balanced. Healing the problems on a deep level which brings long lasting results not just band aiding them.
